Meet Your Cinemaster's Team!

Kara Ritter
Creative Director

Kara is a director, writer, musician and former marketing professional who uses her creativity to launch new ideas for clients to make their marketing efforts as powerful as possible. As a former reporter, Kara knows instinctively how to find the best story, translate it and find the best angle and get publicity for it. With more than 10 years of experience serving senior positions at leading international news and information companies, publishing divisions and advertising agencies launching new lines of business, she has directed the development of more than a dozen brands and is the recipient of more than 80 writing awards. Ritter is also a guest lecturer for the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. When she is not coordinating plans and running daily operations for Cinemaster clients, you will find her writing, recording music on her grand piano or traveling.

Her passion: “Bringing the best ideas together for the most successful results—and having fun while we’re at it!”

Miguel Cordova
Cinematographer

A self-taught photographer, Miguel stumbled into his love of photography by picking up his brother’s old Fujica camera and taking some black and white landscape pictures. This love of photography led to film jobs such as Technical Director at KYMA (NBC affiliate) and later enrolling in Scottsdale Community College’s film program. Cordova collaborated in over 40 short films in a two-year period. His favorite short film “Shush” (Navajo for “Bear”) in which he was cinematographer, debuted in the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. His first feature film “Fifth World” also debuted at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. While his work has been shown from Norway to New Zealand, Cordova offers his signature MacGyver techniques and Sundance vision to all Cinemaster clients when he’s not busy restoring old bicycles, writing or playing the guitar.

His passion: “Pulling off the impossible and getting away with it!”

Matthew Nieman
Editor

Matt Nieman is an editor, former soccer player and phenomenally bad basketball player (though he will tell you differently.) Nieman grew up in Los Angeles and for the last two years, has worked as an editor in Arizona. Previously, he worked in the southern California market as an Assistant Editor for three years. Most recently, he has served as lead editor on Cinemaster’s seminar series and loves to give clients a quality production they are satisfied with. He enjoys scoring music to footage and when he’s not listening to music like hip-hop, oldies and jazz, he’s watching The LA Lakers or playing basketball himself. He counts “Heat”, “Jerry McGuire” and “Great Expectations” as some of his top favorites movies and says travel is his favorite literal—and figurative—way to escape the Valley’s heat .

His passion: “Knowing what I do is a good job and pleases clients.”

Nate Trimboli
Designer

Nate is a multitalented artist, musician and editor and gives Cinemaster’s clients the best of all these skills as a design specialist. Trimboli, a former Chief Designer with PBS, has extensive experience creating the look and branding of a variety of programming. As a professional editor, the South Bend Regional Museum of Art hired him to teach groups to expand their abstract thinking and apply Photoshop techniques to edit their multimedia projects. As a musician, he played bass guitar on the WARPED Tour in addition to performing in numerous bands including Preacher and The Bear and Too Big to Be Buried. His art installations range from fashion to multi-media, but are always backed by community causes. Currently Nate is filming a documentary for the Community Coalition for Haiti showing the impact of its programs on locals.

His passion: “Connecting people to feelings expressed through art to discover what we’re doing here and what’s important in life.”

Michael Markowski
Production Assistant

This budding film and music composer has several national credits to his name even though he just recently reached a legal drinking age. Accepted into the ASU Film & Media Production School, Mike’s love of composing began at an early age. He is one of few who have gotten to experience opening up a concert at Carnegie Hall—with his own composition of “Joy Ride.” His senior year he was selected to be a guest composer with the Phoenix Symphony performing “Malediction” for a feature film he scored. He has also helped film, score and edit the YouTube hit “Conan: The Musical” in appreciation of Conan O’Brien, which was featured on NBC in 2008. “Extraordinario on His Girlfriend’s Birthday” featured the co-written song “You’re a Little More than Ordinary” on the short film Markowski directed, edited and composed featured on MySpace. He won the Frank Ticheli Competition for “Shadow Rituals,” published by Manhattan Beach Music. As a production assistant at Cinemasters, Mike maintains the studio and performs multidisciplinary camera work. When he’s not helping produce sketch comedy, he hopes to develop a deeper film capacity and write more compositions.

His passion: “To surround myself with positive creative energy so people can see, hear and ultimately experience the creativity around us.”
